Sadiqabad is the largest tehsil of Rahimyar Khan District, covering 865¼ square miles (2249 km²). Sadiqabad is the most important area of agriculture of Pakistan. Sadiqabad, the most prominent Tehsil of Rahimyar Khan District, is named after Amīr Sadeq Mohammad Khan V of Bahawalpur State. The new city was inaugurated in 1948.
