  • Jurby (Old Norse: djúra-bý – deer settlement - animal park) (locally ) is one of the seventeen parishes of the Isle of Man It is located in the north-west of the island (part of the traditional North Side division) in the sheading of Michael

  • Peel, town on the west coast of the Isle of Man, one of the British Isles, on Peel Bay at the mouth of the River Neb, which forms the harbour. On the west side of the river mouth is Patrick’s Isle, connected with the main island by a causeway; it is occupied by the ruined keep and guardroom of an ancient castle (the name Peel is Celtic for “fort”). Nearby are the remains of the cathedral of St. German. There are also ruins of the bishop’s palace, palace of the lords of Man, and an ancient round tower. St. Patrick is said to have founded the first church on Man and a small chapel dedicated to him probably dates from the 8th or 10th century. Peel has a long-established fishing industry and is a seaside resort. Pop. (2006) 4,280.

  • Onchan (; Manx: Kione Droghad) is a village in the parish of Onchan on the Isle of Man It is at the north end of Douglas Bay Administratively a district, it has the second largest population of settlements on the island, after Douglas, with which it forms a conurbation

  • Laxey (Manx: Laksaa) is a village on the east coast of the Isle of Man Its name derives from the Old Norse Laxa meaning 'Salmon River' Its key distinguishing features are its three working vintage railways and the largest working waterwheel in the world

  • Foxdale (; Manx: Forsdal [ˈfɑːstθəl]; Old Norse: Fors-dal – 'waterfall dale or valley') consisting of the districts of Upper and Lower Foxdale on the A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road with the junction of the A24 Foxdale to Braaid road and the A40 The Hope road in the parish of Kirk Patrick in the Isle of Man The village of Foxdale falls within the sheading of Glenfaba Politically it is part of the constituency of Glenfaba and Peel and is currently represented in Tynwald and the House of Keys by Ray Harmer MHK and Geoffrey Boot MHK
