Does Malta have their own version of pizza?

Malta. The Maltese enjoy eating Italian style pizza and fast-food pizzas, including local produce. Nevertheless, the traditional Maltese pizza consists of a typical Maltese ftira covered in cheese (mainly local gbejna), onions and potatoes.
