      Palau

      • Palau, country in the western Pacific Ocean.
      • It consists of some 340 coral and volcanic islands perched on the Kyushu-Palau Ridge.
      • The Palau (also spelled Belau or Pelew) archipelago lies in the southwest corner of Micronesia, with Guam 830 miles (1,330 km) to the northeast, New Guinea 400 miles (650 km) to the south, and the Philippines 550 miles (890 km) to the west, A huge barrier reef system, continuous on the west and broken on the east, encircles most of the archipelago.
      • Its major populated islands are Babelthuap (Babeldaob), Koror, Malakal, Arakabesan, and Peleliu.
      • The sparsely populated Kayangel Islands to the north of Babelthuap and the raised coral islands of Angaur, Sonsorol, Pulo Anna, and Tobi south of Peleliu lie outside the barrier reef system.

Palau has so much to offer, here are some of the things Palau is known for.

      • Blue Corner: Diving one of the world's most thrilling sites.
      • Badrulchau Stone Monoliths: Pondering over Palau's mysterious past at this spellbinding archaeological site.
      • Jellyfish Lake: Snorkelling with millions of harmless transparent jellyfish in a marine lake.
      • Scenic flights: Getting a bird's-eye view of the surreal Seventy Islands on an plane or helicopter tour.
      • Ngardmau Waterfall: Taking a refreshing dip at Palau's most spectacular waterfall.
      • Peleliu: Spending the day spotting rusty WWII relics around this laid-back island.
      • Kayaking: Taking a guided kayaking tour to explore the magical Rock Islands.
      • Koror: Feasting on the freshest of seafood in one of the city's many restaurants.
