RE: Who owns the Falkland islands who owns french Guiana?
The Falkland islanders are all UK citizens, and they are part of the British over seas territories, (what was left over from the British empire). there were no original inhabitants on the island so the Falkland islanders were the only legal inhabitants. Britain opened negotiations with Argentina and indicates willingness to transfer sovereignty in 1967 1968: Falkland Islands Emergency Committee is formed to lobby on the Islanders behalf to remain British. A small private plane piloted by Miguel Fitzgerald crash lands on Eliza Cove Road during the visit of Lord Chalfont. Islanders reiterate their determination to remain British and reject suggestions of sovereignty transfer.

RE: What are the natural resources of Antarctica?
Antarcticas most abundant natural resource is data that scientists study to learn more about the health of planet earth.Natural Resources, in the extractive sense, are not available to anyone under the Antarctic Treaty, as below.__________________________________________The main natural resources present in Antarctica are coal, particularly across the Trans-Atlantic Mountains, and iron ore. The Ross Sea also has oil and gas present. However, none of these are permitted to be mined until at least 2048. The Antarctic Treaty (1959) preserves the resources and ecosystem for strictly scientific purposes. The ocean waters around the continent are fished in some areas under various quotas, limitations, and treaties, notably the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) in 1982.Available resources include:waterplatinumiron orecopperleadcobaltchromiumnickelmanganeseuraniumAntarcticas best natural resource is the platform it presents to scientists to study the health of planet earth. It is, after all, a continent dedicated to science, with no plunder of any kind allowed in order to profit from its natural resources. No other natural resource has been discovered, because no exploratory work is allowed on the continent under The Antarctic Treaty.

RE: What is the Gift of the Nile where does it come from?
The gift[s] of the Nile River. The Greek historian, Herodotus, coined the phrase that Egypt was the gift of the Nile, in his An Account of Egypt: Being the Second Book of His Histories Called EuterpeHerodotus of Halicarnassus was a Greek historian who lived in the 5th century BC (c. 484 BC-c. 425 BC) and is regarded as the Father of History in Western culture. He is cited as writing - That of the Nile the river rises of itself, waters the fields, and then sinks back again - thereupon each man sows his field and waits for the harvest. This was obviously referring to the annual flood. He also described Egypt as A land won by the Egyptians and given them by the Nile.So Egypt was the Nile Rivers gift - because without the Nile there would be no Egypt only desert. So anything derived from the Nile would also be looked upon as a gift - the water, the floods fertile soil, the fish and the rivers obvious use for transport etc.The link below provides information and a number of short videos.

What is Eritrea known for?
Eritrea
- Eritrea, country of the Horn of Africa, located on the Red Sea.
- Eritrea’s coastal location has long been important in its history and culture—a fact reflected in its name, which is an Italianized version of Mare Erythraeum, Latin for “Red Sea.
- ” The Red Sea was the route by which Christianity and Islam reached the area, and it was an important trade route that such powers as Turkey, Egypt, and Italy hoped to dominate by seizing control of ports on the Eritrean coast.
- Those ports promised access to the gold, coffee, and slaves sold by traders in the Ethiopian highlands to the south, and, in the second half of the 20th century, Ethiopia became the power from which the Eritrean people had to free themselves in order to create their own state.
Eritrea has so much to offer, here are some of the things Eritrea is known for.
- Art Deco Architecture: Discovering Asmara's dazzling collection of colonial-era architectural wonders.
- Massawa Old Town: Exploring the ruined alleyways and faded-glory buildings of this historic coastal town, which suffered heavy bombing at the tail end of the War for Independence.
- Keren Camel Market: Soaking up the languid atmosphere of Eritrea's beguiling and multicultural second city, and joining the weekly walk out to haggle for camels and other livestock on the edge of town.
- Tank Graveyard: Getting a first-hand look at the devastation wrought by decades of war at this military-hardware dumping ground on the outskirts of the capital.
- Qohaito: Speculating on Eritrea's mysterious past at these enigmatic ruins on an old Aksumite trade route.

Where is Cyprus?
-
Cyprus is located in Europe.
-
Cyprus, formerly known as The Republic of Cyprus, is a small island country that is located in the Mediterranean Sea. The capital of Cyprus is Nicosia, and also serves as the nation’s largest city. It is among the smallest countries in the world, with a population of only approximately 1 million people.
-
Though Cyprus shares no borders with any country, it certainly is not an isolated country by any sort. Turkey lies to the north at only 40 miles away and Syria 60 miles away to the west.
-
Though a small country, Cyprus is home to numerous mountains, with the Kyrenia Mountains and the Troodos Mountains combining for more than 100 miles of mountain ranges. The country’s highest peak, Mount Olympus, stands at more than 6,400 feet.
-
Though mountains are numerous, the major rivers of Cyprus usually are sourced from the Troodos Mountains. Unlike many other rivers in other countries, the rivers of Cyprus do not run year round. Feeding exclusively from the melting snows of the mountain ranges rivers will run dry during the long, hot summers.
-
Aside from mountain ranges, Cyprus is also home to plains. The Mesaoria Plains not only house the vast majority of the country’s agriculture but is also where Nicosia, the country’s capital, can be found.
-
Being located in the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus enjoys a Mediterranean climate, highlighted by a large dry summer, typically lasting between June to September, and cool, wet winters, lasting November to March. Whereas there is technically a spring and a fall separating these seasons, they are very short, quickly giving way to the next season after a short transition.
-
The population is relatively small, with only around 1 million people living on the island. That population is largely homogenous as well, with nearly 80% of the population identifying as Greek Cypriots. Turkish Cypriots round out the majority of the remaining ethnic population at nearly 20% of the population.
-
Mirroring the ethnic layout of the population, majority languages follow. About 80% of the population identify Greek as their first language, whereas about 20% identify Turkish as their first language.
-
Though Cyprus is often known for its ancient culture and Greek gods, that paganism is no longer reflected in the vast majority of the population. Again, following similar splits mentioned above, the majority of the population are Eastern Orthodox Christians. The second largest religion is Sunni Muslims, which can usually be found in Turkish ethnic circles.
