The country borders Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan to the south; Russia to the north; Russia and the Caspian Sea to the west; and Chinas Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to the east.
Brazil (to the east and south) and Suriname (to the west) are the two countries bordering French Guiana. The other parts of French Guiana are bordered by the Atlantic.
